Checking in! On the cusp: May/June 2022.
How is everyone doing? Posting today, and hoping to post monthly or bi-monthly this year.
What's up, buttercups?
I am seriously hard at work - - doing some pottery, some bookmarks (to put with sold Ebay postings), catching up with my blogs, and pricing and timing out other things on my HUGE list.
News = Shootings lately. This week is full of news - - about another horrible school massacre. Ack. I hope that some common sense gun laws nothing. Lots of talk, but that's it.
Too many of our lawmakers are beholden to the Gun Lobby. But sometimes LOCAL action or State action HAS happened. So we must not give up hope.
I AND MANY SAY NO TO GUN VIOLENCE. PERIOD. Let's do everything we can to stop this.
So hopefully we will have some action soon.
There is word of possible protests coming on JUNE 11th. Check your local groups and sites.
On other fronts, I am more organized, am making more great lists, and following them. I recently got a NEW Calendar, too, that starts in July. I think it will be helpful, because it includes MORE years, in order to plan ahead better.
I hope that you are well and safe.
Onward and Upward!

Just checking in - Spring, 2022.
(Catching up.)
<Miscellany from South Central KY> I have been very busy posting books and also re-starting my blogs and checking out my websites.
I changed my name on some of them - - I am trying to make them more uniform. I also have been writing on Facebook. And will be working on bookmarks, getting cards, remembering people, stationery, and doing some logo work.

What else I am doing: I am currently reading the Foreigner Series by C.J. Cherryh. I love her Alliance books, too, have not read them all yet. <Reading is always on my list - it helps make my days fun>.
I'm on the "Pretender" book right now (Arc 3.) The first book was harder to get into, and I came back to it later, but now I am hooked. It's a big series, which I like, because it's so well-written, and full of side issues and surprises.

Yes... (per this blog title today), I am working on my To-Do List. Posting to ALL my blogs more is on that list, for sure. It has taken awhile. I want to make this part of my schedule. Along with cooking, posting on sites and Facebook, paying down bills, keeping up with appointments, going through boxes, planting some edibles and flowers, and more.
I went to a Memorial Service for a very special person yesterday. It was Frances Hain. (Her obituary is here). She has done so much in her life. I wish I could have known her better. A note to self: NEVER forget Kleenex when going to a Memorial Service. 'Nuff said.
Things coming up: getting a small TV, making some more art, working on remembering friends and family, going through files, shredding documents, cooking, and doing some writing. Also, I am starting to get back into church and getting to know my church family better.

Here is some info. about Covid I have found lately that may be of interest:

Here is a Facebook Site to explore (not mine - but neat). For the Love of Old Houses. It is so fun to "see inside" different houses. The ones I like best are the least expensive. Of course, you have to assume they need some major kind of work, of course. But it's fun to dream! I love old Victorian houses and some others. My husband loves one-stories, mostly 20th century ones. I told him he can stay on the ground floor of my Dream Home if he likes. (haha)

That's it for today. I hope to be doing my blogs MUCH more often now, at least one posting (hopefully more) per season, at the very least. I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what YOU would like to see here.

I hope you are doing well, my fabulous readers.
I went an updated my settings here today on Blogger for all of my blogs. Later, I may be trying out another platform, but not today.
The Garden: I got some seeds this year, to have a small garden. I will be planting them soon, as I have a heating pad for my seeds now too. Tomatoes and such especially need that.
(I say YES to tomatoes and peppers...)
Re: my Business (Betsy's CGC... may also change my name later)... I listened to a Webinar about Small Business Fulfillment via Amazon this morning. It was free! (Yay...) I just have a few listings on Amazon right now. But may put more on later.
If you sell there, you can access this free training and lots of others when you register as a Seller.
Ebay: I have a lot of listings that sold here this year. Here is my Store: Betsy's Used Books and Collectibles. Right now I'm gathering all info. up for taxes.
Etsy: I hope to list more here later. Here is my Etsy Store.
Blogs: I plan to blog more often again - - I think it's great writing practice and good in other ways too, like journaling! I have several other blogs, check the bottom of this blog for a few.

Onward and Upward!
Some fun stuff.
I have been walking lately - - every other day at least.
I will be posting here more about that. On my walks, I found a tree with a face, some dog pawprints, a truck that watches over the park, the occasional game at a park venue, some corn that is very ripe (in the field next to a path), and more.
This is when I get out, mostly. AND I get out into the yard also, occasionally. It needs some major trimming. AND next year, it needs a garden.
I posted recently on my Girl Scout UNofficial blog, and went to an online GS event yesterday! I loved hearing from other leaders, volunteers, and staff members. The National Council session is in October, so I hope to hear more from the Delegates and Alternates going to that.
And now for some photos.

I hope they can find another good Anchor Store for the Mall... I will miss Sears. |
This is a pretty neat house. Note that not everything is included... "Price does not include cement, brick, or plaster." |
