Thoughts today, Mon. Feb. 8, 2021: Online businesses, Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy - - plus my small garden in 2021, Covid, and more.

Hi, all!

I hope you are doing well, my fabulous readers.

I went an updated my settings here today on Blogger for all of my blogs. Later, I may be trying out another platform, but not today.

The Garden: I got some seeds this year, to have a small garden. I will be planting them soon, as I have a heating pad for my seeds now too. Tomatoes and such especially need that.

(I say YES to tomatoes and peppers...)

Re: my Business (Betsy's CGC... may also change my name later)... I listened to a Webinar about Small Business Fulfillment via Amazon this morning. It was free! (Yay...) I just have a few listings on Amazon right now. But may put more on later.

If you sell there, you can access this free training and lots of others when you register as a Seller.

Ebay: I have a lot of listings that sold here this year. Here is my Store: Betsy's Used Books and Collectibles. Right now I'm gathering all info. up for taxes.

Etsy: I hope to list more here later. Here is my Etsy Store.

Blogs: I plan to blog more often again - - I think it's great writing practice and good in other ways too, like journaling! I have several other blogs, check the bottom of this blog for a few.

Facebook: Message me if you know me and want to connect. https://www.facebook.com/betsyanne

+++++++++++++++++++++

Covid: Can't wait until we get our shots! We are in the next group, after Health Care Workers, Essential Workers, Teachers, etc.

I hope you all are doing well. Leave a comment and get me up to speed with YOUR news. No ads, please, but you may list your blog if you wish.

Thanks for the great photos, tomatoes and peppers photo - it is from MaxStraeten@morguefile.com. You may visit Morguefile.com and get lots of free photos. Just be sure to credit them and list their page there. That could get them more traffic there. Pictures there are absolutely free if from Morguefile. (check to make sure after you search.)

Thoughts this week. (post more... plus...) I am a grumpy person.

My main thought when writing this today is: Post more!!

Here are just a few things I realized this week.

#1. People are going to be grumpy sometimes, and even rude. It helps to remember that we ALL get grumpy and maybe even rude sometimes too. Is having this happen to you (someone else being that way to you) worth getting upset about?

No. Not really. But that sneaky grumpy voice inside me does want me to stay upset about this for at least a day, each time. I do try to forget about it. Keyword: TRY. Yes, it is a waste of time to dwell on that or on other bad things in the past. And it's in the past pretty quick.

#2. Things change. Even when you don't want them to. People you really like and even love CAN sometimes leave the area.

#3. Unfortunately, a certain new U.S. President WILL probably be there for awhile. Ack. I am not sure how long. But there is hope. Hopefully. We'll see what happens after the coronation (oops) inauguration. Because technically, any conflicts of interest don't start until it's official, the 20th of January and beyond.

#3. It is time to have a garden again, in a serious way. Who knows how much money I can save this way, when our Health Insurance goes way, way up? Maybe a few dollars!! It's time to get to work saving and making money, if things really do go South. Yes.

#4. Being political can have un-friending consequences on Facebook. Did you know that you can stop seeing somebody's posts and still stay friends with them? YOU CAN. Rather than unfriending them. Uh-oh. I'm getting grumpy about this again. Maybe I'm naturally that way! Ack.

But on the whole, things are looking up a bit for me this week. Why? Well, suffice it to say that certain tests went a good way, instead of the opposite way.

I hope you are doing well too, my awesome readers.

I have NOT decided whether or not to watch the Inauguration on the 20th. I probably won't decide until the day of.

Have an AWESOME week and month.

My Idea Notebook -- re-doing books, writing, more.

How are your ideas going? Great, I hope.

Here are 3 ideas I personally will be looking at and doing today.

I realize that everyone has ideas and things they want to do. It's the DOING them that can be hard, at least for me. I need motivation, and because I do not have a Trainer or a Motivator on staff, that person needs to be ME.

This week:

1. I plan to get my Favorite (and FREE) websites and links book done again. This will be Edition 2, and will cost either 99 cents, $2.00, or $4.00.

I have found some GREAT and free art sites and they really help with things like this blog.

This will be my first e-book. I hope to put it on Amazon for sale. If not, I will sell it on my blogs and websites. OR do both.

2. I will start writing in my Idea Notebook. This is a book like a diary, which I bought to streamline my daily To-Do lists and make each day a Day of Accomplishment. I will carry it with me like my Calendar, and put OTHER things on there to make me realize I am doing a LOT and getting things done. Good luck to me on that, I say. (haha) But the thought is good. The idea is good. Now to do it. It has been 3 weeks since I bought it and the pages and blank. NOW TODAY I will start using it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

3. I will try to post at least once a week on ALL my blogs. This is a big endeavor, but one I think will be good for my writing, AND good for my to-do list also.

Have you read "On Writing" by Stephen King? It's great.

Here is a link in case you want to check it out:

I myself do NOT have the 10th Anniversary copy! I need to put it on my WANT list.

Thoughts for the Day.... Things to do, Blogs, and more.

Blogs are on my weekly list. And now, my Squidoo is on my weekly list.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here are a few of the things I'm doing:

1. Finding things to sell for my new Etsy page I will have up soon.

2. Do Taxes.

3. Fix Squidoo pages and send an email about it.

4. Finish the blogs for the week.

5. Go on the KyNect page (again) and see if my insurance choice will save (again)

6. Call KyNect again to let them know about website problems. Maybe.

7. Organize papers

8. Organize everything else! At least some of it.

9. Put list of items and prices for ConCave on artist sheets.

10. Get more bags of things ready to go. Out.

In the meantime, while posting to blogs and taking care of FB pages, I see some very interesting links. Here are some to share:

I have already put a label cloud on my nontrads site and hope to put one here soon. I got the instructions from the phy3blog site.

I also will be changing my blog layouts in the next couple of weeks as well.

Looking at the blogger blogs of note yesterday made me want to make my sites better. It was fun to see all the great websites. You can see a few of these on the nontrads blog this month.
