Do you get little people at your house at Halloween?

Halloween Cuties. Via D'Arcy Norman on Wikimedia Commons.

We usually don't. Our house is on a busy street, and there aren't many kids around either.

But we are prepared just in case, with some goodies.

True, we have "Trunk" events in the area, and also Halloween events where kids can go elsewhere and get candy, but to me Halloween isn't Halloween without having that kind of scary element of going door to door.

I used to go with my daughter... and when I was a kid we got those good popcorn balls and homemade fudge sometimes. Good stuff.

This is an interesting time of year. Weather reports show a "scary" weather front coming in for Halloween. We'll see.

Have a SCARY but good time on Halloween, everyone.

My Happenings Sunday - Thursday posting...My Other blog... plus Popular Postings.

Halloween - - my other blog -- and the most popular postings here.

And here are the events in the area I had here last night: see the Garden Spot plus BG Events blog. I switched this back over this morning.

I was in a hurry! So I posted the events here instead of to my other blog. Wet noodle time...

Anyway, I am considering blending both of these blogs, but not yet.

Friends - at the Pumpkin Patch at Cheekwood. My photo.

Are you ready for Halloween yet?

We have our Trader Joe's candy and crackers ready, though we usually don't have many trick or treaters on Halloween. But I do like the holiday!

Here are some other blog postings to read. They are the very most popular of all of them.

Some more photos from Cheekwood - Scarecrows, Trains, Gardens, and more.

We had a lot of fun last weekend looking at the Scarecrows, the trains, and lots of people at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.

Many people helped create some great Scarecrow masterpieces. I have picked out a few of them here.
The Bell Witch.

Midnight? A Scarecrow and Friends.

The Mad Hatter.

Mothwoman? Beautiful and scary.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I got exactly ONE trick or treater today. My Aunt called and said she got 9. It's the most EVER for her.

On TV, a family was featured who had a wonderful Halloween display - - at least five different scenes on the lawn. Kids came from all around to trick or treat there.

I remember one time my friend and I were told we had to do a trick! The house was in my neighborhood but I didn't know the people. They had us do jumping jacks in the living room! But then they gave us candy after we said it wasn't fair not to!

I do love this time of year. Here at The Garden Spot, the trees are starting to turn. It's just beautiful.
