I am FINALLY adding a better Twitter button on my Blogger blog. I had a couple of other tries from other sites that didn't work right. This one MIGHT work right but right now it is not registering every Twitter posting. I have a question on the site, so hopefully I can fix that part soon.
I found this button on the E-Blogger Tricks site and followed the directions. And Yay! It worked. At least people can use it to post to Twitter. I like that part.
Next (soon) I want to add a Facebook Share button too.
Here is the page I found the easiest directions for putting a Twitter button on my blog here. Add Twitter Share Buttons to Blogger.
I think I'll share this just to check it out and use it for the first time.
And if you are on Twitter, I am @betsyanne, @nontrads, and @scholarsgrants there. Add me!
When I first moved to Kentucky, I heard about the terrible storms and tornados that happen here.
I have had a few close calls. Once a tornado passed over my garage (with my daughter and I in it...) and I have seen the aftermath of tornados blow houses down and around everywhere.
I probably will be watching the news tonight. I guess this latest bunch of tornadoes came pretty close to this area (South Central Kentucky). We had the weather radio on today to listen when the power went out twice. I also heard that there were bad storms in the north too.
I am getting ready to do a lens (web page) for Squidoo today about haunted attractions in the area. There are more than ever right now.
There is also a new one out Louisville Road I need to find the name of. It doesn't seem to be listed online.
Check each website for the dates left you can tour.
Here is what I have so far:

Scream Warehouse- this is a new haunted venue this year at 2461 Louisville Road. Proceeds are going to charities. If you go to it (it may be $20.00 to get in) let me now how it is.The clowns are supposed to be especially scary, according to someone on Topix.
I thought this was a great photo.
They Live, We Sleep was photographed in Wellington, New Zealand by solidstate_/Mike Fryer from New Zealand.
His profile page on Flickr is here: http://www.flickr.com/people/solidstate76/.
I asked who "They" were and found out through a kind commenter (see the first comment).
They Live is a John Carpenter film.
Neat. I just wrote a lens page about Halloween, John Carpenter, and Bowling Green, Kentucky. What's the connection? Click here to check it out.
I just shared this on my Facebook page, and thought I'd put a copy here. These are some of my newest clay creations. They are clay monster heads, and I stained them so I could
keep the detail. Bob showed me some of his techniques for making heads. I could not match his wonderful faces, so I made some other kinds. I guess the vampire ones are good for this month (Halloween and all...) so the timing worked.
These are actually at home right now, instead of downtown. I was going to make an Etsy store and put them on it. There is a Gallery Hop coming up here in Bowling Green on November 6th and 7th (a Saturday and Sunday) and I sent these in for possible inclusion on an ad. I have been told that I should consider making some fairies or elves to go with the door.
So... I may have to move them there to the Pots place for that weekend. Then I can take them back and try the store out the next week. Sometimes it's good to give yourself a deadline anyhow, to get things done.

PS The picture on top is from a trip to the Milwaukee museum.
I found a copy of a Victorian Trading Company catalog lying around in my stuff I am organizing at home. What a fun catalog. It's chock full of old-fashioned things. Send away for the catalog if you can, because it is way fun to look at all the beautiful pictures in here. They have old-fashioned clothing, lights, cards, stationery, porcelain, furniture, clocks, walking sticks, and lots more.
But you can also check out some of their wonderful products here: The Victorian Trading Company Online.
Let me know what you like about it. I like just about everything here. I can't afford to buy the larger items, but I love to window shop with this. I bet you like it too, especially if you love old, antique, fancy and decorative things.
There are new contests and quests on Squidoo to help people who are lensmasters there win points and get prizes.
My latest Quest asks me to invite others to join Squidoo. It is free, plus they share ad revenue with you! If you join and make a lens page, then I get more points!
All you have to do is join with my referral here: Join Squidoo!
Then make a lens. It's that simple. They help you all the way. Plus they have ready-made modules you can use to make all your lens sections.
