Advertising online, doing projects, have a GREAT New Year!

Trending.... in my world.

#1. Today I "advertise" the Outdoor Girl Scout Project (quickly, if possible) by posting in Facebook groups and elsewhere. A good posting helps people discover the site and page, and will get more members. Scouter? Former Scout? Boy or Girl Scout Leader? Girl Guider? Girl Scout supporter? We'd love to have YOU too.

Our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/outdoor.journey/

#2. I will get some clay ready to make some bowls (which I really need at home...) and some cups or figures.
Sold! One mini Fairy Door. About time, I say!

#3. As usual, I have much more to do during and after the holidays...
These things include organizing, boxing up, dusting, cleaning, filling out forms, and tons of other stuff. It boggles my mind how much.

But I CAN do it. At least, I tell myself that.

Projects, projects. I keep writing about them. And I am making progress.

Which is good.

Here is a toast to getting more done soon, too.

Have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!

Fairy Doors and Houses for the Yard - some photos and illustrations.

Fairy doors and houses

I love these. There are many examples and photos of Fairy doors and houses online. Check Etsy. I have been making a huge Fairy Door down at the Pots Place, which may or may not be too dry now to decorate more. It's ready for a first firing probably.

I have run into some neat illustrations of different ways to put a fairy door or house. Some include stepping stones and windows. Some include green plants and flowers too.

Here are some I found today.

The first photo is of a tiny pumpkin fairy house by Tiny Froglet:

Next is a plastic hous. I love the colors, the door, and the postbox in this one!

And here is a house for a gnome. It is called Gnome Reaching Home. The lamp is a neat touch.

Art by Garland Cannon.

It will be fun to get to work on the Fairy Garden when the weather is better. Right now it's all about organizing too.

Have plans for the 4th? We are in a "no burn" area because it is so dry. So DON'T try to do fireworks at home if you live here or in another dry area.

And be careful of the Fairy's homes too. :-)

Some semi-recent Pots Place Co-op Studio and Gallery Photos

Fall Decor - - and Waiting for Holiday Window Decoration.

Hi, all!

I just published these on Facebook, but as some of my readers are not connected there, I am also putting a few of them here.

These are photos from the Pots Place Co-op Studio and Gallery. We made a new brochure lately too, so I will post a link to it soon too.

We decided to decorate for Christmas/Yule/Hannukah/Winter holidays after Thanksgiving. Last year we painted the windows. It was fun. Now, where did I put the washable paint?

We have a tree now too and plan to put ornaments and more on it. I may hang some Fairy Doors on it too.  I have some mini-fairy-doors that just need glaze or stain and one more firing and they will be ready to hang.

Anyway, here are some recent photos. They have orange mini-lights in the window and show some more fun pots on sale right now. You can see some ornaments, a face jug, some mugs, vases, a Round Tuit pot, a tile that has an inlaid design on it, a longboat, some candle holders, a small jug, a liquid soap or lotion holder, a small face, a moon, some heart nesting bowls, a platter on a stand, twot Fairy Doors, two mounted mini-torsos, cups, a jar, and some bowls.

We have more inside. Come visit if you are in the area. You can also sign up for our newsletter below too.

Open 11-3, Tuesday-Saturday. Some visit!

That's it for now. Have a great day!
