Advertising online, doing projects, have a GREAT New Year!

Trending.... in my world.

#1. Today I "advertise" the Outdoor Girl Scout Project (quickly, if possible) by posting in Facebook groups and elsewhere. A good posting helps people discover the site and page, and will get more members. Scouter? Former Scout? Boy or Girl Scout Leader? Girl Guider? Girl Scout supporter? We'd love to have YOU too.

Our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/outdoor.journey/

#2. I will get some clay ready to make some bowls (which I really need at home...) and some cups or figures.
Sold! One mini Fairy Door. About time, I say!

#3. As usual, I have much more to do during and after the holidays...
These things include organizing, boxing up, dusting, cleaning, filling out forms, and tons of other stuff. It boggles my mind how much.

But I CAN do it. At least, I tell myself that.

Projects, projects. I keep writing about them. And I am making progress.

Which is good.

Here is a toast to getting more done soon, too.

Have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!

Happy 2013 - Happy New Year to all the Moon and Willow Tree readers.

Have a wonderful 2013!

Do you have any resolutions for this year?

I have a few.. the usual - get organized, sell some books and collectibles, lose more weight, get in better shape, exercise, etc. etc.

Hopefully I will be able to write "2013" on my checks instead of 2012 for awhile!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hi everyone.

Did you eat Chinese food today?

If you did, chances are you found out that today was Chinese New Year. It is the most important social and economic holiday in China. (I didn't know this until today!)

The Chinese New Year 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. I saw a sign somewhere last week that said the Dragon was a Water Dragon. So are there different kinds? What kind if the official Dragon of the Chinese New Year? According to the article at About.com, the Dragon was a terrible monster who preyed on villagers.

I did a little more researching and found out that on the 15th day of the Chinese New Year, (historically) there is a Lantern Festival. I would love to see that. I didn't find out about which kind of dragon it is this year, (yet!) but I hope to find out soon. When people just celebrate the first day of the Chinese New Year, it also can be called the Spring Festival.

At the Chinese restaurant I had lunch at today, they were getting ready for a wonderful feast that evening. They were going to have a multi-course meal for their lucky customers that evening. The restaurant was Chinatown in Green Hills. What a fun restaurant. It makes me feel like such a VIP to eat there.

Anyway, here is hoping the Year of the Dragon is a very auspicious year.

Sincerely,

Betsyanne

New Years' Resolutions - do you have some?

This photo is by Creativity103 on Flickr.

2012. Time for New Years' Resolutions.

Some people are not making any this year. Those people do not include me.

I have some of the same resolutions from last year. They include finishing my ebooks, updating my blogs and sites, and getting more involved in other projects too.

For me, its' also a time to wish the bad times of last year a good riddance and to renew my hope for needed changes this year.

I also plan to have a Betsyanne Newsletter for this year. I will have tips, ideas, and lots more in it. Just send me your email and I will add you. Here is that form:

Do you have a special New Year's Resolution you want to share? Just put it at the end here as a comment.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May this year bring you much happiness, health, and dreams come true.
