Some semi-recent Pots Place Co-op Studio and Gallery Photos

Fall Decor - - and Waiting for Holiday Window Decoration.

Hi, all!

I just published these on Facebook, but as some of my readers are not connected there, I am also putting a few of them here.

These are photos from the Pots Place Co-op Studio and Gallery. We made a new brochure lately too, so I will post a link to it soon too.

We decided to decorate for Christmas/Yule/Hannukah/Winter holidays after Thanksgiving. Last year we painted the windows. It was fun. Now, where did I put the washable paint?

We have a tree now too and plan to put ornaments and more on it. I may hang some Fairy Doors on it too.  I have some mini-fairy-doors that just need glaze or stain and one more firing and they will be ready to hang.

Anyway, here are some recent photos. They have orange mini-lights in the window and show some more fun pots on sale right now. You can see some ornaments, a face jug, some mugs, vases, a Round Tuit pot, a tile that has an inlaid design on it, a longboat, some candle holders, a small jug, a liquid soap or lotion holder, a small face, a moon, some heart nesting bowls, a platter on a stand, twot Fairy Doors, two mounted mini-torsos, cups, a jar, and some bowls.

We have more inside. Come visit if you are in the area. You can also sign up for our newsletter below too.

Kentucky is a great place to live!

This Kentucky bird looks both curious and cute. A Paulabflat photo.

Ah - - Spring in Kentucky - a great time!
Kentucky is the right kind of place to live. It has a real winter and four definite seasons. It still has family farms and land complete with trees and great natural areas. Coming from Wisconsin, (also a primo place to live...) I appreciate that. I would miss not having a winter.

Now to get out and plant my garden. My intention this year is to be outside a lot. I have trees to trim, a big lawn to mow, and a garden and flowers to plant.

It is going to be a good year for my yard. I probably will put one of my very own fairy doors out there against a tree or two. And maybe some (soft-sounding) chimes? Hmmmmmm.......

My computer goes in tomorrow again. The new huge hard drive is preforming well, but it hums. The old one never did, unless it was working. And it gets hot - which I am used to. But it turns out being hot a LOT is not good. Also, watch out for a clicking sound (a clue to a hard drive's poor condition) and not being able to see a picture of it (finally).

Hey! Maybe it's my blazing typing speed!

Yeah, r-i-i-i-ight! But you never know.

All for now,
-Betsyanne

The Flood in my yard - Kentucky rain - waiting for the sun...

The Flood

We have a totally flooded front yard. Every time it gets almost dry, it rains again. Now I will be watching the weather report VERY carefully tonight.

Because if it rains AGAIN, the lawn will again be totally saturated. My neighbors to one side mowed two days ago. They now have ruts in their lawn, but nothing like the ruts I will have if I mow today. And they don't go away.

So I will wait. And call somebody tomorrow to come and take away the latest HUGE limb in the yard, which is a carryover from the ice storm. It just hadn't fallen down yet until the latest medium-sized wind. And maybe I can combine it with some tree work in the back by the grove.

BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE...

Our lawn stays GREEN more than any other yard for blocks around. That is because there is SO much water retention there.
