Hanging out at the Pots Place and Fountain Square Park - April 2012

I hang out at the Pots Place often. I also love to take photos.

This day Bob was working on some face pots in the Pots Place studio.

I also went outside and took pictures of some buildings and cars around Fountain Square Park.

Here are  few photos from that day:

 What a beautiful day...

Usually on days that are nice in the Spring here in the Bowling Green Kentucky area, nice weather means Get Your Lawn Done Again Before the Rain.

But maybe we will be lucky this week.

Jackson's Orchard is open. What a fun place. Some other great spots to visit right now are Lost River Cave, Fountain Square Park (and shops), Chaney's Dairy Barn, Three Springs Park (now Basil Griffin Park) , the Historic RailPark and Train Museum, Riverview at Hobson Grove, Beech Bend Park and Raceway, the National Corvette Museum, the Eloise B. Houchens Center, and the Kentucky Museum (on WKU's campus), to name just a few places.

Leon Vincent at Artistic Soul Studio wants you to know that they have the Best Little Movie Poster Shop in town, and are located at 1014 East 10th Avenue. They are open Thursday and Friday from 1-5, and Saturdays from Noon -4.  Phone 270-991-0614.

See some Pots Place pottery photos from the Studio

I just published some Pots Place Studio and Gallery photos on the Pots Place Studio and Gallery Facebook page (See these photos there).

I can share a couple of them here too:

You can see the rest of the Pots Place Working photos here:

You can also join their Facebook Page here. And their webpage is here: The Pots Place Studio and Gallery Web Page.

The Pots Place Studio and Gallery is located on beautiful Fountain Square in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky. Come visit! We have the work of seven different potters, and other artwork for sale too.

There are lots of other fun shops on the Square too, so it is definitely worth a trip. Oh - and of course there is the beautiful Park and statues there too.

Love ya! I hope you had a TERRIFIC holiday weekend. XOXOXOXOXO

Ceres in the Park

Here's one of the four statues that represent different Nature Goddesses in Fountain Square Park, Bowling Green, Kentucky. I like the plants in front of Ceres.

According to the Roanoke.edu site, Ceres was a foreign deity adopted by Rome. She became the goddess of the ground, crops, and grain. Her name was given to an asteroid - the first discovered. Demeter is the Greek name for this goddess.

Some people say that she represents the powerful bond between mother and daughter.

Waiting for summer...

In Bowling Green, summer looks like this downtown. The water is tinted blue. There used to be koi in it - I hope they put them back in this year, along with the floating lotus.

It really felt like summer today outside - but it really isn't summer here in Bowling Green until they turn on the Fountain Square Fountain's water.

I can imagine myself back in time when I'm in this park, but only when they don't pipe in music. An old friend stopped by across from the park last week. Perhaps he will come back in a month or so.

I get to help a friend tomorrow - but I don't know how it will go yet. I have a backup plan, but who knows if I will get to use it. I have my fingers crossed. Can't wait until I am done with work tomorrow, for sure good buddy, stamp stamp, no denial. I think I'm regressing.
