Just the same old, same old? Not really. But I must find another Willow Tree for sure.
But one thing at a time.
My latest book suggestions/reviews:
Here are some more great book suggestions. One is an audio book, which are great, because I could do work around the house AND listen to it at the very same time. I am not REALLY suggesting these books, except #1 and Santiago. But the others were amusing at times.
#1. In Contempt: by Christopher Darden. Wow. This book explains how very personally this lawyer was attacked when he was prosecuting the O.J. Simpson case. A quote from him, "...no one is above the law; not the police, not the rich, no one..." Grade: B (some new facts I didn't have before..., I didn't like the way he was treated by the other lawyers...)
#2. Beware of the Dog: A Cliff Hardy Mystery by Peter Corris. Grade: B-. I liked the book, shlogged through to the end with it (which is good nowadays). I liked the Australian words and customs... and the story was surprising to me. I never knew or even guessed what would happen next.
#3. Byzantium's Crown by Susan Shwartz. Interesting story. Grade: B-. (I hate to give a C to a book!) I did want to know what happened in the book. It was an education for a former prince to have to live as a slave... he did escape (thank goodness), and had a new view of the people he was to rule.
Reading now: Santiago by Mike Resnick. It's good so far! Has at least a B+. A jaded bounty-hunter and a no-holds-barred newspaper reporter are both after this fugitive, chasing rumors across the galaxy. Will they find him? And, more important to me right now, does this man even exist? Hmmm....
The Willow Tree
I will keep you posted, loyal readers. :-)

Writing practice = doing my blogs (ALL of them) this morning.
OK - here I go.
It's about 8 a.m., and I have until 10 or 11 to finish ALL my blogs for the week. Or give it a try anyhow. BECAUSE I have other things I must do too.
I think it's good writing practice, BUT better writing practice would be finishing my books. I will join NaNoWriMo and get them done, for sure. Or write another one.
Here are the rules for my blog writing today: Each blog entry must be semi-interesting. That sounds easy. But it isn't always that way! AND I must add a photo or artistic line art into every blog entry. AND each blog entry must be pinged on at least 3 Ping sites.
Then we'll see how much traffic we get today and tomorrow.
I know, blogs should be updated every week - - or even more often.
But I think I've decided that I have WAY too many blogs. So this will have to do for now.
Do you have too many blogs? Are you a writer or artist? How do you keep getting more projects done each week or two? List your tips for me as a comment. Thanks.

Phillips Toy Mart in Nashville Tennessee - some photos too
How fun to see these toys! I (again!) saw things I really liked at Phillips'.
Well, we went to Phillip's Toy Mart again, getting ready for Christmas and just generally seeing what was there.
There are still some neat erasers there (in different shapes) but not so many as last year. Maybe they will make a purchase of more later.
The train set is still up, and getting lots of interest from the younger set (and me!)
This is a great store. I saw some mirrored pens from India, a great doll selection, some magnetic paper dolls, lots of trains, and the best little "stocking stuffers" imaginable up front. I also liked some of the new style stuffed animals and the Babushka doll from Russia. I used to have one of those!
Here are some pictures that may take you back to childhood or just make you want to be a kid again! Personally, I think lots of these toys are great for all ages.
You can see all the photos I took here on my my Fan Page on Facebook . See you there!

Here is the front door - and those so-cute monsters. |
The aisles are just crammed with neat stuff. |
See the little face across the table? :-) |
