Bike Riders - Critical Mass Event to be held Friday April 30

A heads up - Critical Mass Bowling Green has announced a bike ride event on Friday, April 30th at 6:00.

Posted April 15: Change in plan: They will now meet at the Square downtown at 5:30.

Anyone who does not have a bike will be able to rent one at the Facilities Management Dept.  at WKU at Parking Structure #1. I think these are for WKU students only, but do check. This is a weekly rental, with a helmet and bike lock included.

Critical Mass Bowling Green has a Facebook site here:
http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=101359723239377

Their motto: We aren't blocking the traffic, we are the traffic. More information comes directly from the Critical Mass Bowling Green site:

"Critical Mass is a bicycling event typically held on the last Friday of every month in over 300 cities around the world. While the ride was originally founded in 1992 in San Francisco with the idea of drawing attention to how unfriendly the city was to cyclists, the leaderless structure of Critical Mass makes it impossible to assign it any one specific goal. In fact, the purpose of Critical Mass is not formalized beyond the direct action of meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city or town streets on bikes."

Sign up here if you want to attend (For Facebook group members.) Or just show up.
