Letting go... #2

I had a great photo that I wanted to put here today. I kept loading it and loading it.... but nothing worked. I tried the regular way, just downloading it to my computer desktop, then uploading it to here, but my cursor just spun and spun. It was frustrating.

So then I tried to put the photo on a photo site (Photobucket). After that, I tried to upload THAT one to here. Nope. It didn't work. Finally, instead of trying over and over again both ways, I decided that I had better stop.

Maybe later on, the system would work again.

LETTING GO OF PROBLEMS...

The same thing can be said for life sometimes - that you just have to STOP when you are getting no results with something.

Do you have a problem that you have tried to solve, over and over? Do you feel like you are getting absolutely nowhere with it? Do others seem to be nonsupportive?

Instead of getting stuck in a blame game, there is a better way. Sometimes the best thing to do in this kind of a situation is to just LET GO and LET GOD. Whatever your idea of God is, sometimes you just must allow God to take care of a situation. Draw back from your seemingly unsolveable situation, meditate upon God and goodness, and perhaps an idea will follow that will help the situation.

The past is already done. There is nothing you can do to change it. Perhaps you or others have made a mistake. It is not helpful to beat yourself or others up over that. Remember that you and others are human beings, and human beings make mistakes sometimes. Period. Judging yourself or others - arguing - fretting - and second-guessing yourself does no good. Worrying about the future is also counterproductive.

The only thing you can control is YOU and YOUR REACTION to what is going on. A painful life situation can be a springboard to finding out more about yourself and could provide lessons for you to help you in your life journey later on.

I have listed some helpful sites I found while reading about living in the moment. We all know the saying, "Take each day as it comes." I find this to mean that human beings do their best when they can live in the moment and appreciate the blessings they have in their lives.

That doesn't mean you won't go back to the painful experience(s) again - you just must be gentle with yourself and redirect your thinking to the present moment and do the only thing you can:

Work on YOURSELF and YOUR REACTION to what is going on, no matter what it is.

You may have to do this a few times, or you may have to do this many times. It's all OK, and so are you. It is a process, and the more you do it, the better you become at it.

What do you have in your life that is a blessing to you? Focus on that, and be glad you have it. What can you do with your life to help other people? Perhaps doing something good with your life and helping others can help take your focus off yourself and your problems as well. What other ideas can help your difficult situation?

You can put a piece of paper up in your house somewhere to use just in case you think of something- some idea that can help your difficult situation. God may be able to help you with an answer that you could not come up with yourself. You never know.

But in the meantime, just live for today - take an exit door from thinking about that difficult problem for awhile. It can help you be more peaceful and opens the way to a possible solution coming from God.

I have listed some good resources to help other people who may be going through a difficult time in their lives. Let me know if you have some things to add - other resources - advice - or other things that could be helpful here. Thank you for reading my blog today.

Letting go...

Here is where I will post the photograph I found as soon as I can.
