Inside Garage Sale USA #1 and how we got there

ABOUT OUR JOURNEY TO SEE
GARAGE SALE, USA

This photo shows a closeup of the old bottles, plus some neat old lamps, glass items, and fake fruit.

We looked for this store near Shelburn, Indiana and were terribly disappointed not to find it. We thought it had gone out of business.

Well... we asked a couple of people there and found out that they had moved to Linton. We drove some miles to find this store again - and it was totally worth it.

Bob was closing the store, but opened it up for us. He was so nice! We quickly looked around. I found some antique paper dolls and some playing cards. But we hurried so he could leave. I can't wait to go there again.

"I have other stores," Bob told us, "and one got flooded." Luckily, he didn't lose a lot of inventory.

Here is information from their business card:

Inside Garage Sale USA #2

Here you can see Bob's hand truck he probably used to rescue his other store's items from the Indiana flooding.

I like the yellow sign that says "more." Garage Sale USA has a lot of beautiful paper items that I like.

Inside Garage Sale USA #3

This photo is just like the next one, except it shows a great portrait at the top left, and cuts off at the bottom. You can see some bottles that look really old at the bottom left too.

I love the glove. And the two-sectioned picture at the top left is also cool. And is that a game under the table? I wish I'd had more time in this store.

Inside Garage Sale USA #5

As I uploaded these pictures from the inside of Garage Sale USA, I realized that there were more things I didn't even see the first time. I just HAVE to go back there!

And even more stuff.

The sign at Garage Sale USA

We drove into the boonies from off of the interstate to find this place, Garage Sale USA. When I saw the sign, I just couldn't believe it. I was so happy. When I was at his other location on another trip, I found some GREAT paper dolls and playing cards.

Then I thought that he had gone out of business. I was so bummed. This sign was just so great to see.

Bob was very busy the day we came to visit

Bob was very busy the day we were there. He had to clear out some antiques and collectibles from another of his stores, in the basement just the day before, and might have been organizing them or moving them the day we were there.

The parking lot at Garage Sale, USA

As you can see, there is a LOT of parking outside of Garage Sale USA.
