I made another To-Do List

MY NEW TO-DO LIST
My new To Do list is VERY long. I have some things on the list that are starred - which means I must do them first - or in the next week. One of these important starred items is getting my addresses in order.

WHY I MADE MY LIST
The reason I was motivated to make this list was that I listened to a tapebook called "Overcoming Procrastination" and some of the first advice I heard on the tape (while cleaning and doing the dishes) was that I must make a To Do List in order to start being more organized.

THE AUTHOR OF "OVERCOMING PROCRASTINATION"
Susan Fowler Woodring is the author of this tapebook. The long version of the title is "Overcoming Procrastination - A simple plan to help get you off dead center and start right now."

Ms. Woodring is very matter-of-fact but funny at the same time. I could hear the audience in the background laughing at her jokes. Sometimes they were shy and had a hard time answering some hard questions.

I AM DEFINITELY A PROCRASTINATOR
I knew when I bought the workshop tape that I was already a procrastinator. I have even been procrastinating about listening to the tape again because I knew I would have to take action! The truth is, I have been a procrastinator my entire life. There are many things I want to do, but sometimes I avoid them. I wind up doing what she recognizes as avoidance - like doing little things AROUND the big thing(s) I really WANT to do.

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME I HEARD THIS TAPEBOOK
...but I think I'll listen to this tapebook again, because there are many good points in it I liked. I think the most important point I learned from Ms. Woodring this time was that I need to prioritize more. Actually listing things on the sheet helps most people, Woodring said. She also spoke about "how fear of success actually sabotages success."

WHAT I WILL DO NOW
Now that I have my To-Do List, I can get going on the most important things. Some of those include finding more old friends, getting my old high school photos posted, making a card list, and fixing my websites. Now if I could only find that list I made today!

MORE ABOUT MS. WOODRING
This site tells a little more about Ms. Woodring and how she can be hired as a motivational speaker. I'll bet she is expensive. You can also do like me and buy the tapebook or CD.

MORE ABOUT PROCRASTINATION
Also, Stumbleupon has a web page with links about procrastination if you would like to explore further. Or maybe both you and I will maybe look at this tomorrow instead... That's a joke. :-)
