Hyperion.... a VERY interesting book, and one in a series.

I can really recommend this book I'm reading right now.

It is Hyperion by Dan Simmons. It is the first in a book series (yay -- love it when I can continue reading).

via Wikipedia.

Here is a blurb about it via the inside book cover.

"On the eve of Armageddon, with the entire galaxy at war, seven pilgrims set forth on a voyage to the Time Tombs. They seek the answers to the unsolved riddles of their lives . . . and what they find may hold the key to the deliverance of humanity itself."

Right now, the pilgrims are sharing their stories, which are mindblowingly strange. Some of them have already been visitors long ago to the planet of Hyperion.

I will try to find a good photo to put here. Good - found one on Wikipedia. (Warning: don't read the Wikipedia page much - - not until you finish these books, because you won't want to know the series book endings. I know I don't.)

Later!
