Rickey and I took a tour of the State Capital building today. We couldn't go up the elevator (figures) because of construction, so we climbed up the stairs instead, to gaze down on the town from the highest spot around.

When we got inside the Capital building (and through security) we were greeted by a delightful tour guide, B.L. Rhodes, who was full of stories about duels, corruption scandals, and more. Rickey was in his element. Back and forth they went, comparing Kentucky to Tennessee, discussing current events and analyzing political history.

What fun.
